Feedback

Feedback is essential to any team's success.  The manner of delivery is just as important as the content itself.  Every feedback delivery should have expectations clearly articulated at the outset, with measurements that are readily understood.  The most important element to any feedback delivery is compassion.  You must solicit your team for obstacles or barriers they are experiencing.  If you do not ask for this, the person you are providing feedback too will silently feel they are set up to fail.  If they give you an obstacle you must proactively find a solution for them.  Be engaged and establish this level of trust.
